Are you interested in learning more about Merchant Processing? Here are the basics:

Merchant processing refers to the ability of a merchant to accept a transaction payment securely. A merchant account is set up through Sphere to accept and process credit card and debit card payments.

How does it work? A merchant terminal passes transaction information to a processor and then to the card network to the issuing bank for approval. The issuing bank sends an authorization back through the card network to the processor before it finally ends up in the merchant account.

PCI compliance refers to a set of requirements, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, that was created to help ensure that companies that process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. Sphere has tools to help meet these compliance standards.
